Canberra launch of 'Silent Pearls'

The Australia-Japan Society of the A.C.T. invites you to a charity fund-raising presentation and Canberra launch of ‘SILENT PEARLS’ by John Lamb at the Snow Centre for Education in the Asian Century Canberra Grammar School, 40 Monaro Crescent, Red Hill 7pm. Wednesday 24th February 2016
John will background Japanese involvement in the pre-war pearl-shelling industry of northern Australia and explain how some of the oldest headstones in Darwin reveal aspects of that history. This will be followed by the formal launch of the book by Assoc. Prof. Frank Bongiorno and supper.
